The first issue of our newsletter has no date, but it speaks of events of the early months of 1986. So there we go, we started in early 1986 and were producing as inconsistantly as now, whenever we had inspiration, things to talk about and time to write it down. The various issues usually cover important events that touch people in our diocese. The newsletter features articles, poems, drawings and pictures that we prepare or are submitted by our readers. Bishop Rouleau has his own regular corner.

Over the years, the newsletter has kept the same name, but changed many times in appearance. Computers and the designing abilities of Nadine and Jennifer have helped greatly to improve the outlook. The ability to include pictures instead of clipart has also enhance the newsletters. Over 200 copies are distributed locally. A dozen or so are sent to each parish in our diocese. In addition, a little over three hundred are mailed to people across Canada, the United States and Europe. We must humbly admit, that we are quite proud of our Northern Bloom!
